Besides RaceBase (if you use RaceBase), what other computer software do you use ?

Hi,

I'm also using Neale Yardley's Betselector for Oz races. Like RaceBase it has excellent analysis facilities and rich information on upcoming races. Like RaceBase, the more time you put into your subjective analysis, the greater rewards!

It would be absolutely great, if RaceBase could download the Australian metropolitan races. I'm sure that the necessary data is provided from many sources.

I remember Peter looking into this a few years ago. What about having another look, Peter?

I found Klaus that there was just too much Australian racing to keep up with along with finding a source of data for the database. New Zealand is just the right size for one man to keep up with, while also having a couple of days without racing per week. 8)

I was suggesting just the metropolitan races, perhaps only on Saturdays, Peter. Surely, those subscribers, wo are interested, would pay extra for the privilege.

Racebase would be great in HK with limited number of horsesat 1200 (by memory) ?

I am looking at my own software which reads web pages directly into my database. Breaking down HTML pages and figuring the various linkages is challenging. Whatever way, the serious punter needs ALL of NZ info to develop a betting strategy - wether you want to bet only on Saturdays or each meeting...
Richard.

That's true Richard. Alot of the future winners come from those 'dud' weekday meetings.

Is Equinet still going ? Haven't heard much of them lately ?
Does anyone use www.trackwork.co.nz or www.formpro.co.nz ?

Since switching to UK\Irish racing many years ago the best software program by a country mile has to be Adrian Masseys Ratings. The ability to do instant historical analysis over 13 years and 1000`s of races utilising ratings and a huge number of factors is quite something. Theres a basic program and the extended program which is available to some members. I`ve not come across anything better.
