RaceCafe .... and some sour grapes

Postby mrracebase » Sun Mar 08, 2009 2:40 pm

Sour grapes is the first thing you'll think of when reading this, as the racecafe forum has 9000 members and this one has 26 at last count. But really .... what kind of a discussion forum are they running over there ? Each post takes up to 3 hours from posting to display, making it very difficult to hold any worthwhile discussion, and when you register you are greeted with the following bit that you have to read :

All messages must be reviewed by a moderator before being made public. Moderators will not necessarily choose all acceptable messages, in some cases they will use their judgement to select only the best or most appropriate messages. Messages will be edited at the moderator's discretion for any reason. No correspondence will be entered into - the moderator's decision is final except for "bad post" reports.

Still, at least they are honest, which makes it slightly more palatable than the organ of some communist regime in a far off land. It's supposed to be the internet, not a letters to the editor page .... isn't it, or is it :?:

2 of my posts didn't get through on racecafe. www.racechat.co.nz is better and I use that forum now.
