Hi,

First of all let me say that this forum has great potential for discussing horse racing related stuff. Peter, keep the questions coming to stir us into action!

My belief is that there is a track bias as recently witnessed at Trentham. However, this is something for the jockey and trainer to take care of; they are the ones who should know where the going is good.

With regards to a font runner's or swooper's bias I don't take any notice. A front runner will is a front runner irrespective how the track is. The same thing applies to swoopers!

Regards, Klaus

Im stirred into action Klaus.
So far on the 'Track Bias' poll after 36 votes, things are tipping in the favour of the existence of some sort of variable track bias. 64% of voters reckon this phenomenon exists in some form.
Obviously my track bias article on the webpage is not persuading most people. :? :)

People were asked in the poll :
Do you believe that frontrunners and/or swoopers track bias changes, depending on track conditions.

41 people responded.
37% said Yes
29% said Sometimes
32% said No
2% said I Don't Know

Therefore 66% said they believed in a form of this sort of track bias.
